Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s office has announced that the Governor has reappointed a Woodville man to the Lower Neches Valley Board of Directors, along with a Beaumont woman and a Sour Lake woman.

Woodville’s Lonnie Grissom, Jr. has been reappointed to the board, where he currently serves as Vice-President. Grissom owns Golden Pine, Inc., and he is also a former board member for the Texas Forestry Association, former Woodville ISD board member, and former President of the Woodville Rotary Club.

Meanwhile, Beaumont’s Ivy Pate and Sour Lake’s Jeanie Turk were also reappointed.

The LNVA Board of Directors consists of nine members, which includes Dr. Charles “Caleb” Spurlock, a Tyler County dentist.

However, the board has no representation from Jasper County.

The Lower Neches Valley Authority provides freshwater from the Neches River to municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers through a series of canals in the Golden Triangle, along with protecting water quality in the Neches River and Coastal Basin.
