Police and others wait for an ambulance to arrive after a man was seriously injured in a bicycle mishap. The accident occurred at the corner of Helen and Cole Streets in Jasper on the evening of Saturday, July 11th, 2020.

A 51-year-old Jasper man was seriously injured in a Saturday evening bicycle accident. The man was discovered shortly before 8:00 on the street and bleeding from face and head trauma at the corner of Cole and Helen Streets behind Burger King.

Police initially thought that it may have been a case of hit-and-run, but the man told them that he simply crashed the bicycle and no vehicles were involved.

The man, whose name was not immediately available, was taken by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to a Beaumont hospital.
