Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis announced Friday that the body of a missing Kountze man has been found and it turned out that he had been murdered. Meanwhile, Davis says the accused killer, who confessed and led them to his body, has been charged with murder and other crimes.
Roy Dean Willman, 64, along with his truck and travel trailer were all reported missing on Wednesday from a Kountze RV park.
Davis said law enforcement developed a suspect, Clayton Lewis Carter, 36, also of Kountze, and he was found by Silsbee Police driving the victim’s truck and pulling the RV trailer.
According to Davis, following a confession from Carter, he led investigators to Willman’s body off of a rural road north of Silsbee.
In addition to Murder, Davis said Carter will also be charged with Drug Possession, Tampering with Evidence, and Theft.
