Police direct traffic around the accident as the injured are taken care of on Sunday.

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle auto accident that occurred on Sunday at the intersection of Highway 190 and South Main Street here in Jasper.

Police and firemen along with other emergency crews were dispatched to the location shortly after noon when it was reported that the crash had occurred.

Officers investigating the accident said the crash occurred when a 2009 Dodge Journey, which was headed west on Highway 190 ran the stop light and struck a 2017 Chevrolet classic and a 2003 Ford f-150 pick-up truck.

The driver of the Dodge, Mary McCarry, 77 of Jasper and the driver of the Chevrolet, Donavon Riggins, 49 of Jasper, were both taken to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for their injuries. The driver of the pick-up, Scott Bagwell, 51, of Jasper was not injured in the crash.
