A third suspect is now charged with murder in the June 2 shooting death of Jeremiah Grant, 19, in Silsbee. Police Chief Shawn Blackwell says shortly after noon Friday, Silsbee police went to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital and arrested Jacob Matthew Decuir, 19, on multiple charges including Murder, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 2 counts of Tampering w/ Physical Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Decuir has been transported to the Hardin County Jail.
Emily Rannols, 19, of Bridge City, and Bryce Pfeffer, 20, of Port Neches, had already been charged with Murder and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Their total bonds are $700,000 each.
According to the chief, Grant was shot inside a vehicle during a drug deal and then pushed out of the car. Decuir was also shot and hospitalized until Friday.
