A woman was undergoing treatment after an early Thursday morning crash. It happened at about 4:30 on Highway 96 South in front of Harvest Church.

Jasper Police Lieutenant Garrett Foster said details are very limited, but he did know that a woman was driving a car which collided with an 18-wheeler. The Jasper Fire Department responded to the scene with the Jaws-of-Life after officers arrived and discovered that the woman’s lower legs were pinned inside the car.

Foster said more information about the parties involved and details of how the accident happened is expected to be available on Friday.
