They fished for three days and in the end it was Keith Carlisle from Mont Belvieu, who won 1st place with a 9.41 pound bass at the 2020 “Big Bass Splash” held at nearby Lake Sam Rayburn on Sunday.  The winning catch came on day 3 of the tournament that began on Friday.

Carlisle went home with a Triton 21 TrX bass boat powered by a Mercury outboard engine, equipped with the latest in fishing gear; a RAM Truck; plus $10,000 in cash to help make his day even better.

Coming in 2nd was William Noble of Killeen who landed a lunker weighing 9.34 pounds, who was followed by Kenneth “Skeeter” Fowler of Grand Saline, who came in at 3rd, by reeling in a catch weighing 9.08 pounds.

Fowler was followed by  Lance Duff of Lumberton, who came in at 4th after he brought a fish weighing 9 pounds who was followed by Chris Rice of Livingston who brought in a catch of 8.92 pounds.

The event, which began in 1984, is produced and organized each year by local businessman Bob Sealy and his company, Sealy Outdoors.
