An incident in the Warren Community has reportedly left a woman seriously injured. It occurred shortly before 6:00 on Thursday evening on County Road 1325, about a mile off of Highway 69.

It was reported that a woman was found on the road suffering from head trauma, and had possibly been hit by a vehicle. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Stephanie Davis initially said troopers were on the scene and working to determine exactly what happened.

However, Davis later told KJAS News that troopers determined that the incident was not traffic related, and the circumstances surrounding the woman's injuries would instead be investigated by the Tyler County Sheriff's Department.

Meanwhile, the Warren Fire Department assisted by setting up a landing zone at the nearby Warren High School for a medical helicopter to transport the woman to a hospital.

KJAS News will follow up on this story with the Tyler County Sheriff's Department.
