On the left is Jasper Police Lieutenant Gerald Hudson, who is also Assistant Chief of the Jasper Fire Department, and on the right is Jasper Police Officer Sterling Linebaugh who, that day, found himself volunteering as a firefighter. This was at a fully involved house fire on Kelly Street on Fathers Day - Sunday, June 21st, 2020.

A Jasper volunteer firefighter, who is also a police officer, and a Jasper police officer who, that day, was a volunteer firefighter worked together to pull hose at a house fire.

On the left is Jasper Police Lieutenant Gerald Hudson, who is also Assistant Chief of the Jasper Fire Department, and on the right is Jasper Police Officer Sterling Linebaugh who, that day, found himself volunteering as a firefighter.

The fire occurred Sunday afternoon at a house on Kelly Street, behind the Grease Money oil change business. The police officers stood at the scene in the rain, ready to assist firefighters if needed.

Jasper Fire Chief Jimmie Primrose said other Jasper police officers at the scene assisted firefighters with attaching and laying a supply line from a tanker truck to a pumper truck.

Primrose said of the officers at that are at different emergency scenes "Let me tell you that the officers work so hard to help us the entire time. Many thanks to them."
