Firemen said the fire was tool far along when they arrived and there was nothing they could do to save the mobile home.

Firemen said no one was injured in a fire that destroyed a mobile just south of Kirbyville on Monday afternoon.

The volunteers of the Kirbyville Fire Department were dispatched to the location on Highway 96, shortly after 2:00, when it was reported that the structure was on fire and shortly after their arrival, immediately called for assistance from both the Buna and Trout Creek Fire Departments.

The firefighters of the combined departments did all they could do, but the fire was simply too far ahead, when they arrived and the home was complete loss.

Who owned the house or what caused the fire is still unknown and word is that no one was there when the blaze broke out.
