For the fourth year in a row, the Jasper County Courthouse Square will be lit up with thousands of Christmas lights, and this year organizers plan to flip the switch on Wednesday, November 27th.
Jasper business owner Tressy Morgan and other volunteers from the Jasper-Lake Sam Rayburn Area Chamber of Commerce put in many hours of preparation and work each year to make it possible.
The effort began in November of 2016 when Morgan and the chamber asked for donations from the public for specific LED lights in order to make the entire building look uniform. The public responded, and what began as just lighting the Courthouse now includes the Gazebo.
The courthouse will remain lit up each night from November 27th until New Years Day.
