Sunset behind the Jasper County Courthouse on Wed, Feb 12th, 2020.

The rain finally stopped and the clouds finally parted, allowing a stunning sunset seen from downtown Jasper on the Courthouse Square on Wednesday evening.

A sky painted in purple, pink, and orange illuminated the 131-year-old courthouse, and served as a reminder that Deep East Texas is predicted to enjoy two full days of sunshine on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday - Partly sunny, with a high near 56. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 35. North wind around 5 mph.
 
Friday - Sunny, with a high near 56. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
 
Friday Night - Clear, with a low around 36. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
 
Saturday - A 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
 
Saturday Night - A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
 
Sunday - A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
