Charles Adams Jr, who is accused of stabbing his mother numerous times is being held at the Jasper County Jail with bond denied.

KJAS Radio News learned Friday that a Jasper man is being held at the Jasper County Jail with bond denied following an incident that is alleged to have occurred on Sunday September 19th.

Officers were dispatched to the home at 510 Shady Lane, when it was reported that a woman was lying in the street. Jasper Police officer Jimmy Neal, who was first to arrive at the scene soon determined that the victim, Wanda Kay Jackson, 53, who is a resident of the home had been stabbed or cut numerous times with a knife.

Jackson was transported to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital where she was treated for numerous stab and cut wounds.

Based on information obtained at the scene and from witnesses, police arrested Jackson’s son, who was identified as Charles Adams, Jr. 30, who was said to live at the same address.

Adams was later charged with aggravated assault and bond was denied.
