The Tyler County Sheriff's Department says a Spurger resident went to jail on Friday when deputies responded to a report of an unclothed woman. A report issued by Sheriff Bryan Weatherford said that his deputies responded to the area of Farm to Market Road 1013 and County Road 4500, and that's where they found 30-year-old Summer McInnis.
Weatherford said deputies found McInnis carrying a small infant baby, and she appeared to be very paranoid and intoxicated on an unknown substance.
According to the sheriff. deputies found methamphetamine and prescription pills in a bag that McInnis was carrying.
Weatherford said she was arrested and has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and endangering a child. Her bond was set at $6,000.00 by Justice of the Peace Ken Jobe.
Meanwhile, the baby was turned over to family members.
