The Texas Attorney General’s Office has announced that a Sabine County man has been arrested on a child pornography charge. According to State Attorney General Ken Paxton, 66-year-old Walter James Sanders, Jr., of Hemphill, is charged with five third degree felony counts of possession of child pornography.
Paxton says that it was a CyberTipline report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which alerted his office’s Child Exploitation Unit about Sanders’ alleged activities. Paxton says Sanders was allegedly uploading images of child pornography to an internet search engine.
According to Paxton, when a search warrant was executed at Sanders’ home, investigators discovered images of child pornography on a digital storage device, and during an interview, Sanders allegedly confessed to uploading and saving files of child pornography.
Paxton said officers seized numerous digital storage devices from the house for examination.
