Emergency crews in Angelina County were busy late Sunday afternoon after a crash involving four vehicles left a teenage girl dead and several others injured. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant David Hendry said the crash occurred shortly after 4:00 on U.S. Highway 59 South, just outside of the Lufkin city limits.

Hendry said it began when a tire blew out on a northbound 2017 Ford F-350 pickup truck, driven by Gabrila Godoy, 30, of Lufkin. Hendry said the truck went across the median and into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with a 2014 Dodge pickup truck, driven by Alicia Stephenson, 33, of Portage, Wisconsin.

Hendry said the Ford truck then hit a 2008 Honda passenger car, driven by Hannah Fowler, 31, of Diboll, while the Dodge then hit a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Misty Denton, 46, of Lake Jackson.
