A Benefit Skeet Shoot for Baby Gwendolyn Clark will be Saturday, June 8th, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at 214 County Road 259 in Jasper. The location is just off of U.S. Highway 96 North, behind Coastal Welding Supply.
$5.00 per set/5 sets per round, gun to be given away for final rounds.
In addition to the skeet shoot, there will also be food for purchase, along with a silent auction, and all proceeds go the family for medical expenses..
The 2-month-old has an atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD), which means that there is a hole where the four chambers of the heart intersect, and it affects all four chambers. This results in a constant elevated heart and breathing rate, and that causes her body to constantly burn calories, therefore she is having difficulty gaining any weight.
The baby will need open heart surgery to correct the issue.
Organizers say they encourage you to bring lawn chairs, tents, and coolers for your comfort.
For more information, or to donate money or items for the silent auction, call Penni Cofty at 409-381-1501.
