(Jasper, Texas) - Each year, just after Thanksgiving, it begins in earnest: children putting the finishing touches on their Christmas wish lists and shipping them to Santa. This year, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System is looking to lend a hand to kids in the Jasper area to expedite their Christmas letters to St. Nick. The health system is collecting letters to Santa Claus in its Santa mailbox – located in the lobbies of CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital, CHRISTUS Family Practice – Jasper, and its CHRISTUS Family Practice – Kirbyville locations.
Once children mail their letters to Santa, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System will return a letter addressed to those children – from Santa himself. Parents are urged to drop their children’s letters off no later than December 16th in order to receive a response from St. Nick in time for Christmas Day.
CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital has also been designated as a collection site for Toys for Tots. All are encouraged to drop off toys at Jasper Memorial Hospital, which will be given to local boys and girls in time for Christmas.
Finally, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas is looking to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate this holiday season. CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital is also collecting canned food for the Jasper Share Food Pantry. Anyone interested in donating can drop off non-perishable food items at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
