A search is underway for a missing Jasper man, who disappeared in a very remote area of Sabine County.
Authorities say 28-year-old Alfred Wright was last seen at about 5:00 on Thursday evening on Highway 87, about five miles south of Hemphill, when his vehicle broke down at the C-L&M Package Store, and he left walking alongside Highway 87.
Wright is a home health physical therapist, and he was reportedly on his way to see a patient when he went missing.
On Friday, Sabine County deputies reportedly discovered what is believed to be Wright's shirt, pants, one sock and a shoe along with his watch near a barb wire fence, at the east end of a large pasture located near what is known as Coussans Road.
On Saturday the Sabine County Sheriff's Department was joined by the Hemphill Fire Department, Jasper County Emergency Corps, Texas Equusearch, and other volunteers who scoured the area where Wright's clothing was found. However, at last word there was still no sign of the man.
