Carnival Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the world, recently added to their fleet of about two dozen ships. However, their latest ship is, in fact, an airship. A blimp!

KOGT’s Gary Stelly reported on Thursday that the blimp, which Carnival acquired only two weeks ago, made a stop at the Orange County Airport on the southwest side of Orange.

The blimp sports a unique paint scheme that makes it look like a cruise ship.

According to the Carnival website, their new blimp has just wrapped up a very busy stay in the Houston and Galveston area as it flew and hovered over numerous sites and events over the last several days. That included last weekend’s football game at Kyle Field in College Station between Texas A&M and the #2 ranked Clemson Tigers.

It's believed that the blimp landed to wait for some inclement weather to pass before continuing on to its next assignment.
